"For our shoot with Melanie B., sexy was definitely part of the theme so I wanted to concentrate on her eyes. A lot of emotion can come from the eyes so to bring a stronger look to them I worked with darker colors close to the lash line to accentuate their shape. I didn't want to use it any higher as that would have given a smokey look and as much as that can be sexy, it wasn't what I wanted. It still had to look like the makeup was a part of her. By working with the dark near the lashes and the addition of shimmery shadows elsewhere, I was able to achieve strength and subtleties at the same time." JoHanne Doyon

"Shooting Melanie B. was amazing she is such a pro!!! But it had some technical challenges since her agency Montage Models did not want any solid background with flash, which is usually the norm with model shoots. Everything had to be in a home setting or looking very daylight & lifestyle like outside shots !!! That was the request.. no problem!! especially on a winter's day at -20C!!! Hey I love a challenge and my professional team has seen it all so we all dressed up for it... except our beautiful model that could not feel her feet by the time I finished my shots, thankfully we all love the results.
